The first few pictures are from that bridge where my husband is having a look around from the edge.

I don't know if more people should go there because then it would be crowded. I love it the way it is. It is such a great plan. Wish they had not cut that big tree near the lake down though. Trees can live with a hollow core.

Large, beautiful horticultural park with 2 types of experience: 1) meadows, gardens, specimen trees & lake; 2) natural Kentucky forests with numerous, well-marked trails.

We have also stopped at some awesome places. Won't forget the bridge. Uhff I am feeling rejuvenated to remember that moment.

This is such an wonderful place. My mind was getting more and more delighted while I was watching the fall view around me. I just loved roaming around there by my car. Having a sunroof car

A place to get away from the hustle and bustle and Get Back To Nature. I always like finding a little time to get away to here. Family friendly also good for finding your own personal serenity.

We drove an hour to attend the ColorFest. It was advertised as a free event just pay parking with some activities costing a SMALL fee. Wow, what a joke! First, there was no one directing parking so we parked at the first parking lot only to find out after walking about a mile that we were no where close to being at the actual event where plenty of parking was available. Once we finally arrived at the event we got to the pumpkin rolling where no one was working under the tent. We went on up to the education center. The kids were excited to see a snake and to touch one. However, after waiting 15 minutes while the gentleman flirted with two people and ignored all kids coming up to his table we gave up. I even said, “ Excuse me sir, can the kids touch the snake? “ However, he had a one track mind and didn’t even hear me. Multiple families came up to the table, waited, and gave up. We walked out of the education center and decided to go for a hayride. However, when we went to buy our tickets we could only buy tickets for 3:15 which was three hours away! Once again we walked away with nothing to do. There was no one directing you or any signs showing you the way to the individual things to do. We walked in several circles before we realized where we were going. Finally, we arrived at the visitor center where several other things were talking place. We had to pay $5.00 to sling two pumpkins, $5.00 for face painting and the hay ride would have been $2.00 per person had we bought tickets. The lady doing the face painting had no under garments on under her shirt so the kids got a good education of the female anatomy. Especially sense she was bent over painting the kids faces in a very loose shirt. I think she must of forgot this was a family event! So, we just left after that. It was so very disappointing. This may of been a good event with some organization. However, if you are going to say some things may have a small fee that is an incorrect statement. A dollar is a small fee not five dollars. The kids did enjoy making their mud pies. The people working that booth was super friendly and cared about making it fun for the kids. Also, the kids enjoyed the caterpillars inside of the education center. They did a good job as well.

This is a beautiful place with educational aspects. I loved this place years ago when I visited it with my parents - my best memories with them were at Bernheim Forest - and I love it now as did my whole family.
